approaching the holiday weekend...
with a fever.
yes, last night at about 8pm tim (and ashley) decided to spike a temp. of course with the supressed immune system they have to work it up as a possible infection so they PAN-CULTURE him (from top to bottom). they draw blood cultures and do a chest x-ray and culture just about any other source they can get their hands on. i guess we are better safe than sorry-but they feel it is all related to the recovery process.
mom is back...i had to call in the calvary again...hard to split between two locations. ashley is missing her 4th day of school today-it has been a looooong week. (and i can't even imagine the make-up school work to entertain our long weekend). i know that i dont usually say this-infact i doubt that i have EVER said this, but it will be nice when school is out.
well, i have to get the other two kiddos moving. wish me luck today-i have to go convince my husband that he is not getting enough pain meds and that we need to increase the dose. (the nurses and i feel that he is just being 'a non-complaining' still in pain patient).
catch ya later...

Praying for all clear on the cultures! Tell Tim that decreasing the pain helps him to relax and heal better and quicker. Love to all!
Men- they can be so stubborn!!! Why is that- they just can't see that it'll help them-tell him-it's not a sign of weakness- it's to help him-we are praying for all of you- Tim to give you the strength you need- Tammy to give you the encouragement; ashley to help you get better and Meagan & Kelsey to let you know you are loved by many-one day at a time-we love you guys
Just learned of your website this morning ~ great idea and many of the comments were tearfully read!
God is good! and it sounds as though everyone you know and some you don't know are praying for Tim's healing as well as peace, comfort and rest for the entire family. Yes, your support team is truly amazing! It was always a delight to be among the Connor and Dewalt families over the years; one could always count on a welcoming smile, a firm handshake and a barrel of laughs ~ thanks for the memories to everyone!
Now the extended families are playing a much different role and seem to be "batting 1000" as is their usual "supporting career" (the Connor family understands it best in those terms).
I can remember babysitting Tammy and Brent for many years while "Mrs. C" (as someone referred to her) peacefully did the family shopping and got beautified ~ smart woman. Now we pray for Tammy's husband and family as well as the extended families. It's good to see that you already had Maryland on the list of states.
I, too, have been on the receiving end of their graciousness. As a CA youth member and teen, there were late-night swimming parties in the Connor pool, many "CA" social events including all-nighters and baptisms. I also had a couple of opportunities to give back and keep the family in the auto body business with teasing adn understanding from Mr. Bill ~ thanks for not making me feel so bad!
You all helped to shape who I am today which has influenced the raising of our children ~ soon-to-be 21 and 19 - both loving the Lord and involved in ministries in and outside of the church, college students and a GWLL all-conference lacrosse player.
Remember: God loves you and you are in our prayers!
Tell Tim to take the meds and relax. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Hope the fevers go away. Be strong. Love, Carol

Amy
Hi Tammy,
If Tim won't take his pain meds, maybe they will give them to you! It's worth a try...
Keeping you all in my prayers.
