Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

a long day...

well, here goes.

on tuesday tim had a really bad day...he was sick to his stomach, running a fever, had chills, very achey, and just plain miserable.

on wednesday tim still wasn't feeling very well when we got to the doctors appt. because he was running a temperature all day tuesday and had such a sudden onset of symptoms his doctor decided to admit him to the hospital (tim was less than thrilled but really didn't have the energy to argue).

so we went from the two hours or so in the clinic to the four hours or so in the day hospital to the finally getting a bed on 6 east. it was about 8pm when we saw 3 different doctors and a multitude of nurses.

so, he is there and i am here.

what are we going to do???

1. for the fever we are going to assume that he has an infection of some sort that just hasn't surfaced yet and start him on multiple IV antibiotics.

2. incase it is not an infection and it is a sign of GVHD (graft vs host disease) we are going to pump him full of steroids which should also improve the stomach issues. (but cause him a lot of grief-he hates those steroids)

3. and because of the sudden onset of the fever and bone/muscle aches we are going to do a bone marrow biopsy in the morning to make sure that this is not the lymphoma rapidly spreading through his bones.

4. pray that it is the first one or the second one.

in order for them to get tim to agree to stay they told him that he would only be in for 48 hours...the last time they told us that i think we were in for 21 days. one day at a time.

i will update when i can.

thanks for checking in.

Whenever things look like thry're not going good I remember the story of the man on a deserted isle and his hut burned down and he gave up but he was rescued because they thought the smoke from the hut was a signal from the man.God moves in mysterous ways that we don't understand but He is moving on your behalf waiting is so very very hard.We pray you will both get some rest and Tim will get relief from this episode and that it will be # 1 or 2.God grant you all strength & grace. Our love to all of you. I had to check in and see how things went today.Faith is the substance of thing hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Trusting our Lord who loves us so very much to work all things for our good and His Glory.

Well, we are praying for answers. The tests are necessary in order to treat the right thing. Tell Tim we love him and know God is in control of everything. One day at a time.

I'm really terrible sometimes coming up with the words to express what I want to say. I am sure you know that we are here if you need us. We have faith that God is in our presence, and we will continue to pray to Him to see you through. Love you guys.
