5 days in...

this is tough...only because of my own bad choices but...this is tough.

when i was young (very young) i belonged to a church group called the C.A.'s which stood for Christ's Ambassadors

now that i am old (very old) i belong to a local group called the C.A.'s which stands for Carbohydrates Anonymous

i can't believe how badly i am feeling while adjusting to the lack of carbs and lack of sugar. i feel that i am an addict going through a detox program. hopefully i will cross over to the human race here shortly.

for those of you nearby...if i live through this PLEASE help make sure that i stay on track...i don't want to ever be where i am again. let me pick you up for a coffee but HOLD the dessert (that is code for bring the handcuffs, duct tape, or whatever is needed to assist you in this task)

thanks for checking in

I've done the carb withdrawal... it's not pretty! Some people think kicking heroin is hard. At least heroin doesn't sit on every single countertop! Hang in there. It does get better before too long.

When I read that you were determined to lose weight and get healthy, I self-righteously said to myself. "That's a very good thing. She'll look and feel better!"
Then I waddled past my full length mirror and glanced sideways....

Why didn't you just tell me when you saw me last "Hey, Auntie! Are you actually gonna' climb on that plane knowing it'll fly tilted the whole way?
And what about this elaborate ruse confessing your attraction to sweets?
What's that you say? You really are fond of sweets?
If only I were "fond of sweets." I'm a sugar junkie!!!
Very shortly, you'll be looking at green beans with the same longing as you used to eye an eclair--- while I'll still be trying to inject Jamoca Fudge Ice Cream with a needle & syringe.
Let me confess right here, that I wouldn't hesitate to stick a banana in some kid's back and growl "Gimme' the Snickers, kid, and nobody gets hurt!"
You're still young and your extra weight will come off. I'm heading for Medicare and mine is as solid and secure as blown-in insulation, and will probably have to be removed the same way.
NONETHELESS...since it has become your involuntary (and unknown) task to inspire me, I shall launch my own program to follow in your ever-decreasing footprints.
You are an amazing gal, Tammy!
I continue to hold you and the girls in my prayers.
Love from Aunt Katie

Oh, Tammy, You and Aunt Katie Dewalt really need to find a publisher for your book. She is as humorous as you are ~ such wit! In fact, I like her so much I would love to meet her on her next trip east. I'll treat you both to coffee! ; )

Ok, I don't care what Aunt Katie says (no offense A. Katie) but you will never look at green beans like you would an eclair unless you bathe them in carmel and hot fudge. (not a suggestion there)

Be strong!!!

You are in the toughest phase. It will get easier. Your body does adjust to the lack of carbs and sugar and you will not crave them as much soon.... Praying for you and the girls.

Tammy,

I feel your pain. I do not have a weight issue but just got my cholestrol checked and waiting for the results (which I know they will not be good) I am sure I will be changing my diet soon. I definitely have a sweets problem. I will be in withdrawal too. I listen to WINK104 and the last month they have been talking about Healty Trim. One of the guys on the morning show lost 20 lbs in 2 months I believe. They say you take it in the morning with water and it makes you want to eat less. You just don't crave the food you use to. I think they said it was a natural supplement. You may want to goggle that and check it out. They had a lot of success stories on about it.

Praying for you!

Wendy
